At Sunflower Doodles, we believe in building stronger families, communities, and lives through the love and companionship of our dogs. Here’s a look at some of the ways we extend our program beyond just raising puppies.
Our Guardian Home Program offers approved families the opportunity to raise one of our future breeding dogs in their loving home.
How it Works: The dog lives with the guardian family full-time while we retain breeding rights during its active breeding years.
Family Role: Guardian families provide daily care, including food, training, grooming, and vet care.
After Breeding: Once the dog’s breeding career is complete, full ownership is transferred to the guardian family, and the dog is spayed or neutered.

Community Involvement
We’re proud to be active in our local community and believe in supporting causes that matter. One way we give back is by partnering with our local high school football team. It’s a joy to cheer them on and contribute where we can — whether it’s through sponsorship, events, or showing up as a family to support. Community involvement is part of who we are. We believe in building something bigger than ourselves — investing in the next generation and creating connections that last.
Therapy & Special Placement Puppies
Some of our puppies are more than just companions — they’ve gone on to serve in special roles. We’ve placed puppies with families who have children with medical or developmental needs, and donated a puppy to a school counselor who trained it as a certified therapy dog. That same dog also works with her father, a therapist supporting clients dealing with mental health and addiction challenges. We’re honored to be part of these stories and to see the difference our puppies can make.
